Our first three weeks, Term 2 2017

Already been SO busy...

We have been 'practising' at caring for our teeth...

initial korero from Master 6: "nah, I don't like washing my teeth."
to Māmā complaining "...he takes FOREVER in the bathroom, keeps counting, 1,2,3,4...!"

The practise not only helped us in being aware of our overall wellness by caring for our teeth; it also was good practise in how to follow procedural writing.

Along with our oral care, we have been learning about keeping our tinana fit (upcoming Cross Country - Wk 6).  We have been practising our Hula basics and using a bit of Rock & Roll to get our heart rate up!!  (also in preparation for School Production Term 3)

It is fair to say, we have been heavily influenced by Moana

Part of our Hauora studies is also about building relationships (in prep for an upcoming visit from Harold), and so Te Kakano and Room 2 took a morning walk in search of Ngāhuru...

we researched colours and the reasons why our leaves changed and fell from the trees...

we gathered data...

we sketched...

and then returned to discuss our findings.

Te Kakano will continue working on our wellness...

Pai tātou tinana me hinengaro me wairua me whānau
